And here is his description of what the picture is about:

"This commission was made after I got the idea of a Doctor Whooves fanfic wherein the Colgate seen in the background in the series actually is a filly sent back in time from modern day Manehattan who has aged in Ponyville, waiting for the events to occur once again; providing the extra help the doctor required by leaving clues in vital spots to escape/defeat the Weeping Pegasi. The filly version of Colgate would in the last moment distract the monsters by turning around and staring at them while The Doctor and another undeveloped character ran towards the TARDIS. The Doctor and the other pony would get enough time to "decipher" the final clue and get inside to safety. Colgate would be sent back in time, but - during this unconventional way of time traveling - get her cutie mark: An hourglass. The Doctor would meet up with the adult Colgate proclaiming his sadness for not saving her. Colgate explained she was sad for being forced out of her old life as a child, but started to look forward to this moment since she desired the adventure the Doctor brought with him. The Doctor would in turn offer her a ride in anywhere in time and space; setting up the possibility to write another fanfic, or even a series of them where Colgate became a companion of the Doctor.
I came up with this idea May/June this year, but I never got to actually writing it. Now it'll look like a mash up betwixt Blink (the episode I based the fic around) and The Angels Take Manhattan (due to Colgate having the necessary information to defeat/escape the Pegasi and the setting in Man[e]hattan).
I hope I'll get inspired some day to write a Doctor Whooves fanfic. Doctor Who is by far my favorite show and I think I got Rannva to start watching it when I urged her to see the episode Blink (one of my favorite episodes of the new series). Just don't ask me why she started with the First Doctor."
